NLSQBC was established by North Lanarkshire Council in 2002 with support funding awarded through the Strathclyde Police funding package from the then Community Safety Fund North Lanarkshire Council identified that there was a need  to address  the vast increase in the numbers of illegal bikes being used throughout the Council s area, hence the Council Initiative to establish our club.

Today we still receive support from North Lanarkshire Council assisting the club in getting our equipment on site for our annual event programme
NLSQBC have completed by Greenspace Scotland a Social Return on Investment exercise whose finding value that for every £ invested in the club, the return is valued at £9

We depend on membership fees to meet the track maintenance costs and we apply for small grants to provided a training programme and provide trophies.

The club is always actively seeking sponsorship and in return we can offer Web Space with opportunities for track banners to be put up at Balbackie Track.
